UpCare Europe Awarded Lot 10 of the “Cross-Sectional Imaging 2025–2029” Tender
UpCare Europe is proud to announce that it has been designated the successful bidder for Lot 10 of the UniHA national tender “Cross-Sectional Imaging 2025–2029” – Ultra-Low-Field Portable MRI.
Following significant development already achieved in North America, and subsequent to obtaining the CE mark in December 2024, this award constitutes a first in France and Europe, with the introduction of Hyperfine’s Swoop®, the world’s first portable MRI operating at 0.064 Tesla.
A Revolution in Access to Diagnostics
This revolutionary technology makes it possible to perform brain imaging exams directly at the patient’s bedside — in intensive care, emergency rooms, the operating room, neurovascular units, or pediatrics — promoting faster, safer, and more equitable access to diagnostic imaging.
Within the framework of the UniHA tender, Lot 10 represents an estimated potential of 25 million euros over 4 years, benefiting the network of 1,550 public hospitals (including 124 GHTs). This referencing opens a strategic national channel for the adoption of bedside MRI.
Proximity, Speed, and Equity
By decentralizing imaging capabilities, the Swoop® system establishes a new paradigm of proximity, speed, and equity in patient care management. This initiative is particularly crucial for remote or underserved regions.
Thanks to the vision and leadership of UniHA, France confirms its role as a global pioneer in medical imaging.
The Vision of Partnership
UpCare commends the vision of Hyperfine, whose constant innovation made this step possible. This collaboration, within the framework of the UniHA tender, illustrates how partnership, vision, and innovation can transform healthcare systems worldwide.
“This selection marks a major milestone in the evolution of patient care management. Ultra-low-field MRI is not just a technological innovation; it is a concrete response to current medical, logistical, and socio-economic challenges. I commend the foresight of UniHA, Hyperfine, and the French hospital community, who once again demonstrate their leadership in imaging access and quality.”
